Khan 1993
|
|
Khan was a rather large German Shepard who was killed by a unkown burglar disturbed on our own residential property in Te Puke 1993
He was found bashed to death on the side of the road after chasing the offender through a farm,
he was a great working dog and was a great companion.

NZ Police Dog Enzo dies 9 August 2007
Our staff send our condolences to the NZ Police Dog Section and families. Enzo died while tracking an offender into bush. We were lucky to see the dog in action the night before. Enzo and Constable Kayne
Cording tracked a burglar the night before in Te Puke and did a great job.
Enzo found the offenders jacket hidden in a bin.
Although the offender managed to escape, police have since arrested the burglar thanks to Enzo and his handler.
We took pride in watching a great Police team at work protecting the community
.
He will be missed

In 2008 our Home guard Dog Thorn "THOR" A Norwegian
Elkhound suffered a stroke> He came out on the job when the other dogs were ill.
He was the most feared out of all the dogs, and very protective of family members, but also very gentle with those he trusted.

In 1999 he was shot with a .22 at home while we were at work, youths mucking around with a gun driving past accidently shot him, he recovered with no ill effects.
We found he was the brightest and most cunning dog we had encountered Loved and missed.
He is the only dog I have ever seen eat a Lemon raw and enjoy it!
Often chewed but never forgotten

My good mate Duke became ill this week
and after a good run of 13 years passed away.
To his credit he got between Barry and a male high on P with a knife and started barking at him the offender ran off.
Rob and my staff and friends who new Duke were amazed
at his soft and gental nature will miss him greatly.

Our sympathy goes out to the Police Dog Handler and officers involved in a shooting at Chrstchurch.
Police believe police dog Gage leapt over his handler to attack the offender to save his master.
Gage was shot and ran out of the house where he died.
